What You Need to Know

Booking & Deposits

• We require a 1-hour minimum booking at $95 per hour.

• A $95 deposit (equal to 1 hour) is required at the time of booking.

• If you cancel less than 24 hours before your session, 50% of the deposit is forfeited.

Payments & Studio Policies

• No reference materials (MP3s, mixes, etc.) will be released until the studio balance is paid in full.

• Block rate pricing is only available when paid in full upfront before booking.

What Can You Expect to Pay for a Retail-Ready Project?

• Recording can be unpredictable, and extra hours can easily add up. The key to efficiency is preparation—have your songs fully written, arranged, and rehearsed.

• For a 5-7 song project with a total runtime of 15-20 minutes, you could anticipate a minimum of 30+ hours of studio time for tracking and mixing.

Understanding Your Budget

Your budget determines the level of production quality. Nearly any project can be completed at any budget, but lower budgets mean certain limitations, such as:

• Fewer takes per track

• No vocal pitch correction or comping

• Minimal waveform editing

• Limited mixing time

It’s essential to find a balance between your budget and your expectations for the final product.

Why We Don’t Offer Fixed Quotes

Unlike many industries, recording projects can’t always be quoted with a fixed price due to unpredictable variables, such as:

• The preparedness of the musicians

• The number of takes required

• Additional time needed for arranging, mixing, and fine-tuning

• Potential technical issues (e.g., instrument buzzing, vocal pitch inconsistencies)

Hourly pricing ensures that both the artist and studio stay focused, using time efficiently to achieve the best results.

Session Musician

We have a network of talented session musicians available to enhance your project.

• Availability varies, so let us know early in the process if you need musicians.

• We do not take a profit from session player fees—100% of their rate goes directly to them.

You are also welcome to bring in your own musicians if preferred.
